Okay, so before anyone jumps down my throat and tells me: "It's Harry's body, let him do what he wants" Let me tell YOU that this thread is NOT going to be about slamming Harry for his tattoos. I just read an article that I found really eye-opening and I wanted to comment on it. Of course, it is a OnePopz article, which isn't the most reliable thing in the world, but still. Read HereOne of the first things that caught me off guard was that it said Harry has gotten over 30 tattoos in the past year. 30?! I mean...I knew it was a lot but I never realized it had added up to THAT many. And it also says that he purchased his own tattoo kit to use at home... and not on other people. On himselfI'd be scared to even get a tattoo from an apprenctice who works in a shop, let alone someone who just bought a tattoo kit because they felt like it. I've seen tattoos when they get infected - they can land you in the hospital. God, I hope he's careful. It says that his mom, Simon, and even his personal tattoo artist are trying to get him to stop and he wont listen. Sadly, an addiction to tattoos can be just like any other addiction - drugs, alcohol, etc. Maybe he really does have a problem. . .

Like... i mean it IS his body but at this point maybe he just likes the rush he gets from getting the tattoos. not even how they look :/

i think were getting a little overreacted. i mean, i couldn't even open your link, so i can't even see your proof of your claims that he bought his own tattoo kit and that simon and his mom and everyone wants him to stop.

well not the best reliable source yes lol but uhmm if he has an addiction they should probably do something about it, but i doubt he does. ed sheeran has his own kit too, he even tattoos on people and they turn out well. harry is probably just experimenting, im sure he'll be fine. but yea it is his body and he is grown to make his own decisions
i love how there wasnt a thread like this when zayn got all those tats in one summer

i think were getting a little overreacted. i mean, i couldn't even open your link, so i can't even see your proof of your claims that he bought his own tattoo kit and that simon and his mom and everyone wants him to stop. Lol, alright lets tone down the attitude a little bit please. Just because you couldn't open the link doesnt mean that the proof of my "claims" dont exist. Besides, they aren't even "MY" claims. They are the claims of the person who wrote the article and researched this information. You can do a little research of your own if you'd like, so you can decided what sort of claims you'd like to make. If I choose to "overreact" about this, I have the free-right to do so. Enough said. well not the best reliable source yes lol but uhmm if he has an addiction they should probably do something about it, but i doubt he does. ed sheeran has his own kit too, he even tattoos on people and they turn out well. harry is probably just experimenting, im sure he'll be fine. but yea it is his body and he is grown to make his own decisions i love how there wasnt a thread like this when zayn got all those tats in one summer I realize that it's his body, that's one of the first things that I said before I even started my rant about the tattoos. I guess this is just all my opinion, based on what the article was saying and what I've observed over the past few months. I'm not saying that do it yourself tattoo kits are horrible, and yes, some of Ed's tattoos have turned out half-decent. But if Harry only got it so he could continue to ink his skin without having to go thru an actual artist...idk. That's kind of the part I was commenting on. Eventually though, whether he is grown or not, too many tattoos CAN permanently damage his skin and his immune system. Idk. This isn't about bashing him. It was just me voicing my shock over what I read.

idk i just hope hes ok and knows what can go wrong and stays safe is what I was basically trying to say! I'm just worried and taken aback. Thats all. Not trying to hate on him at all or make false claims!

srry. didn't mean to be sassy. i was just saying. i couldn't open your link. just saying. and really tho harry doesn't have that many tattoos compared to most famous artists... Hello Adam Levine.Hello John Mayer.Waddup Lil WayneI'm just saying. All these celebrities have SO MANY tattoos and no ones getting all worked up because of them. Maybe it's just my personal opinion that tattoos are sexy af but WHO KNOWS.

I understand. And I was "just saying" that they weren't my claims and I was simply commenting on them. I'm also not saying that Harry is COVERED in tattoos. But getting 30 INDIVIDUAL tattoos in the span of just a year is very excessive. Also, most of the tattoos on the artists that you mentioned are large pieces done at once. So as far as the healing process, the large pieces heal all at once. Harry's, although smaller, have to heal at individual times which will continually put stress on his immune system. And if he is also doing some of them himself, before his body is even competely developed, he is putting himself at risk.
and that is MY opinion just saying.

I haven't read through all of the posts, so if I am repeating something forgive me.
I love tattoos, I love guys with tattoos. I currently have 3 and have about another 5 planned. However, it is incredibly stupid to do tattoos at home, I don't care if you're Harry Styles, Prince William or President Obama. Stupid is stupid. I had a little cousin that got a tattoo from a friend at home. I am not lying when she sent me a picture it was a red heart with wings that looked like a 3yr old drew it. A few days later the red heart was green. I was scared for her.
I get lectured all the time about how the tattoos are a part of me forever and in 20yrs will I still love them. Personally (I don't know for a fact) Harry and some of the guys seem to just be getting tattoos almost for the hell of it. To have 30 tattoos, small random scribbles kind of all over......is there actual meaning behind them? If there is......I say go for it. The best tattoos have to mean something, not just look cute or attractive
